About PASTOR ERIC MOELLER
Pastor Eric Moeller was born in Michigan and raised in Midland, Michigan where he attended the Lutheran school at his home congregation. He graduated from Concordia Ann Arbor and later from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1989. He received a M.A. in Latin American Studies and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago. Upon ordination in 1991, he served as a missionary for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in Panama and later served as a professor of religion and sociology/anthropology at Concordia Texas and Concordia Chicago. He served as a professor of missions at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne from 2003-2007. He has served as a parish pastor in Louisville, KY, Storm Lake, IA, Queens, NY and Portland, OR and as a missionary at large for the New Jersey District reaching out to Spanish and Portuguese speaking immigrants in the Newark metro area. His wife Celia, was born and raised in the state of Para in northern Brazil. They were married in 2009 and have two children, Jennifer, who is 15 and Jonathan, 12.
